AURORA, Colo. -- A man was watching television in his living room Friday night when a truck crashed through the wall and into the room.

The incident happened about 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of 17th Avenue and Oswego Street. Four males subsequently jumped out of the truck and fled the scene, the homeowner said. He was also able to escape to safety.

The trapped truck continued to run, filling the home with smoke, police said. Eventually, the structure was determined to be safe enough for the homeowner to continue living there.

Police tried unsuccessfully to contact the registered owner of the truck. It was not clear whether the vehicle was stolen.
