DENVER -- If you didn’t take advantage of Black Friday or Cyber Monday, fear not because there’s still a great way to save on your holiday shopping.

Greentoe.com allows consumers to pay what they want for the item they want.  It’s similar to Priceline.com but instead of airline tickets, Greentoe.com offers electronics, appliances, baby products and musical instruments.

The site allows shoppers to see what an item typically sells for online and then allows shoppers to offer their own price.  “Basically digitally haggling, we don`t really call it that but you could use those words,” said Joe Marrapodi the CEO of Greentoe.com.

Marropodi says his site can usually beat the lowest online price by 15 to 30%. “We`re a platform in the marketplace where different retailers  compete against each other so we`re not competing against the retailer, they`re competing against each other for your business,” added Marropodi.

Sandy Meyn of Castle Rock used Greentoe.com to buy her husband’s Christmas present.

“This was my best deal of the year so far,” said Meyn.  She used the site to buy her husband a GoPro 4 Silver Camcorder for $300.00.

Major retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Target and Amazon all list the same item for $399.99.  “I think a lot of people do want this product and it`s so big and so hot right now for that to be offered on Greentoe, I was shocked and to get such a low price on it.  I was really surprised,” said Meyn.

In Meyn’s case, a retailer gave her a counter offer of $340.00  “And I said no I`ll wait. The next morning I woke up and someone accepted my $300 offer.”

Greentoe.com doesn’t disclose the retailers it works with but the consumer learns who they’re buying from once a retailer accepts their offer.
