Grumpy Cat has made nearly $100 million in 2 years
MORRISTOWN, Ariz. — Grumpy Cat has turned that frown into cold, hard cash, with the feline’s owner revealing she has earned nearly $100 million dollars in just two years.
That woman, Tabatha Bundesen of Arizona, told Britain’s Express newspaper she quit her job as a waitress and her phone’s been ringing ever since.
Grumpy Cat, whose real name is Tardar Sauce, rose to fame in a YouTube video that went viral. The permanent scowl is a result of dwarfism.
The cat now has best-selling books, she’s the face of Friskies cat food, she has a line of coffee called Grump-Puccino and a TV movie: “Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever.” And yes, she also has an agent.
In case you’re feeling bad about being grossly out-earned by a cat, don’t worry, you’re in good company. Grumpy Cat took home more money in the last two years than Lady Gaga, Cameron Diaz, Matt Damon, Matthew McConaughey and every member of the Denver Broncos (yes, that includes Peyton Manning).
