ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. — Snowplow operators have been working on Trail Ridge Road which has seen plenty of snowfall during the last couple of days.
The high-altitude road in Rocky Mountain National Park already has drifts 2-3 feet deep on it. Visibility has been low and conditions are icy according to park spokesman Kyle Patterson.
Trail Ridge Road was closed Wednesday, but there was hope it could reopen by the weekend.
Winter conditions come quickly to the high mountains at this time of year.
