LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Leave it to Lakewood High School to take advantage of an internet trend in the most awesome way possible.

The school, which last year won a private concert from Katy Perry with their viral video version of her song “Roar,” rounded up 1,000 students and faculty to take the ALS ice bucket challenge this week. The school raised some $2,400 for the cause, said film teacher Adam Ronscavage.

In the video, the school challenges Chatfield, Bear Creek and Pomona high schools to take up their buckets next.
