ENVER -- Strong storms developed over parts of northeastern Colorado Saturday.
A stray, isolated storm was possible in metro Denver Saturday evening, but most of the organized activity was expected east of the city. Fans going to see the Denver Broncos play the Houston Texans and Colorado Rockies play the Miami Marlins should be prepared just in case.
A line of storms brought a Severe Thunderstorm Warning to Larimer and Weld counties Saturday afternoon. Rain was falling at the rate of 1" an hour in some places. Small hail was reported in Aurora.
Sunday was expected to be a drier day with highs in the low 80s.
A better chance of afternoon rain showers is forecast Monday and Tuesday.
