Reports: Robin Williams’ ashes scattered across San Francisco Bay

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — Multiple reports, including RadarOnline, reported Thursday that the late actor Robin Williams was cremated and his ashes were spread across San Francisco Bay.

Williams was found dead Aug. 11 in his home in Tiburon, Calif., near San Francisco. RadarOnline, which obtained a copy of the actor’s death certificate, reported that Williams’ ashes were spread on the Bay the next day.

The cause of death is listed as “pending investigation.”

The death certificate was dated Aug. 20 and signed by Richard Benson, who appears in the county directory.
