DENVER -- Denver Police on Wednesday morning arrested the suspect connected to a Littleton murder.

Police say Josh Hoppe, who was wanted in connection to the Littleton shooting last week, was arrested at an apartment complex near South Parker Road and South Quebec Street.

Police spent much of the early-morning hours inside the apartment building gathering evidence and talking to neighbors. Littleton Police arrived about 2 a.m. to arrest a man connected to what they're calling a high-visibility crime last week.

Hoppe has been on the run since the shooting Aug. 13 in the 500 block of West Peakview Avenue.

A 55-year-old man was shot in the chest and died at the hospital. Police say the suspect and the victim knew each other and the public was not in any danger.
