AURORA, Colo. — A construction worker on the big I-225 construction project was the victim of a hit-and-run driver Monday.

Aurora police say a female flagger was hit on the ramp from E. Iliff Avenue to northbound I-225 just before noon.

Paramedics checked her out and determined she was not hurt bad enough to go to the hospital.

Police are looking for a white Subaru Outback and its driver. Police say the worker was able to give them a good description of the run vehicle, which they have not provided at this time.

Lt. Jeff Turner says the driver faces significant traffic violations. He also says this is a perfect time to remind drivers to slow down in construction zones.
