DENVER -- The Broncos will hold their second public practice of training camp at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Wednesday. And when practice begins, fans will have their first look at receiver Demariyus Thomas, who missed the first four days of training camp to attend his grandmother's funeral.

The Broncos have closed off practice at Dove Valley this year because of ongoing construction at the facility. So they are having three open practices at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Thomas returned Monday in time for the afternoon walkthrough and Wednesday will be his first full dose of training camp this year.

"I was able to watch it on film when I was home," Thomas said. "I'm not behind. I know what's going on. Just the fact getting back out here and getting into football shape."

Football also is a good way for Thomas to get through the grieving process as he was very close to his grandmother. When it comes to expectations this season, chances are quarterback Peyton Manning will look for him often.

The team will also scrimmage on Saturday at the stadium beginning at 11:55 a.m.
