DENVER -- A man and a woman escaped after three men broke into their home Monday morning, the Denver Police Department said.

Police say three masked men with guns got into the house at 2744 S. Reading Court, near the intersection of Quebec Street and Yale Avenue, about 6:50 a.m.

The man and woman say they were held at gunpoint, but were then able to get out of the house through a bedroom window and get to a neighbor's home to call police.

The three men got away after stealing a TV and cash, police said.

Diana DeGette has not said that home invasion robberies don’t happen in her district. Lets try to stick to the facts and not stupid political hyperbole.

Shannon Watts of Moms Demand Action was the one that said home invasions don’t happen in real life. But she is also the one that said guns don’t stop crime but she has armed bodyguards so go figure
