GREELEY, Colo. — Sheriff’s deputies arrested a drunken man they found leaving a Greeley bar on a lawnmower.

Kenneth Wilton, 53, has a history of traffic offenses and his driver’s license has been revoked.

According to the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses saw him riding a lawnmower north and south on 8th Avenue around 10 p.m. Tuesday night headed to the White Horse Inn in Garden City.

According to his arrest affidavit, Wilton told deputies he was drunk when he entered the bar. The deputy reported he had bloodshot and watery eyes, smelt like alcohol and had slurred speech.

He was also unable to stand on his own, deputies said.

Welton was booked into the Weld County Jail on suspicion of aggravated driving after being designated as a habitual traffic offender, driving under the influence, driving an off-highway vehicle while prohibited and reckless driving.
