Armed robbery at Longmont gas station caught on tape

LONGMONT, Colo. -- Police were on the lookout for two suspects Thursday after an armed robbery was caught on tape at a Longmont gas station the night before.

Longmont Police spokesperson Jeff Satur said officers were called to the scene of the robbery at Western Convenience Gas, located at the corner of Main Street and 15th Avenue, just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Surveillance video showed two hooded and masked suspects entering the store, with one wielding a sawed-off shotgun. The suspects ordered customers and employees to the ground before making off with an undisclosed amount of money and one pack of cigarettes.

Thankfully, no employees or customers were hurt.

Police described the first suspect as a Hispanic male between 20 and 30 years old, with dark brown eyes, a thin build and standing around 5-foot-8.

At the time of the robbery the first suspect was said to be wearing dark tennis shoes with white soles, dark brown pants, a blue jacket with no hood, a blue bandanna, a knit ski hat that had both dark and light blue and dark gloves with a white emblem on the outside of the hands.

The first suspect was also the one carrying the shotgun in the video.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male also with a thin build and standing between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7. At the time of the robbery he was wearing tan pants, dark shoes, a dark brown jacket with a hood, a dark mask and dark gloves.

The second suspect did not display a weapon.
