Hwy 6 closes at Clear Creek Canyon after gravel truck rolls over
GOLDEN, Colo. — Highway 6 was closed early Tuesday afternoon after a gravel tractor-trailer rolled over in Clear Creek Canyon spilling gravel across the roadway.
The rollover occurred near mile marker 262 just west of Golden, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
No one was injured as a result of the accident, but the roadway was closed at each entrance while crews cleaned up the gravel.
The gravel had to be off-loaded before the semi could be turned upright, CSP said.
There appeared to be some damage to the highway.
