STRASBURG, Colo. — A semi-truck hauling fuel rolled over near Strasburg Monday afternoon, trapping two people inside and closing part of Interstate 70 westbound.

The truck ran up an embankment about a mile west of Strasburg about 1:42 p.m., the Colorado State Patrol reported. The ensuing rollover caused some 150 gallons of fuel to spill from the trailer’s saddle tanks.

Two people were briefly caught inside, suffering minor injuries, CSP said.

One lane of westbound I-70 was closed.

How does one manage to do that?
Fell asleep at the wheel? (That would be my problem.)
Hope that our truckers are alright.
Good that the tank trailer did not rupture.

To be correct he was traveling westbound and it is at the strasburg exit. Can’t even get a traffic story with correct information.

The information in this article is extremly un accurate. As I am also a truck driver. This truck passed me on westbound I 70 not 5min before this inncident.
    I whitnessed this incident.
The fuel was from the trucks fuel tanks.
Any further questions can be directed to my email.
I do hope both drivers in the truck to be ok and a full recovery

^ Cause? Fell asleep at the wheel?
They meant the tractor’s saddle tanks, which is how I understood it. (Never heard of saddle tanks on a trailer.)
There was no photo earlier. Is that a tanker? Appears to be a box trailer.

What did you do Matt Farley, guess at the text for the story? One can plainly see in your photograph the trailer is an enclosed box trailer, not a tanker that would contain fuel. Fuel leakage was from the tractor’s fuel tanks. The truck DID NOT run up an embankment a mile West of Strasburg, the truck was traveling West toward Strasburg. Were you even at the scene? Doesn’t sound like it. Anything to sensationalize the story huh? Try and be a little more accurate with your two bit reporting next time. How about an update on the condition of the Driver and Co-Driver?
