Aurora police looking for alleged bank robber

AURORA, Colo. — A young man robbed a TCF Bank in Aurora Friday afternoon and police are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect.

The robbery happened at the bank at 1710 S. Havana Street around 12:30 p.m., police said.

The robber, described as a white man in his early 20s with a white tan hat, white T-shirt and blue jeans, gave the bank teller a note demanding money.

He then fled the bank on foot.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Agent Mike Thrapp with the FBI Safe Streets Task Force at 303-472-0350 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
