2 workers killed in Eastern Plains bucket lift accident

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — Two construction workers died in an accident involving a bucket lift on a truck east of Byers Thursday.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office says details weren’t clear about how the men fell out of the bucket lift.  They were working at the Colorado Motorsports Park at 2050 South County Road 201.

The accident was reported to the sheriff’s office just before 6 p.m. Both men were unresponsive when rescue crews arrived. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information had been released late Thursday night.

    So sorry. Especially hate to see working men harmed.
    No excuse not to wear a safety belt and tie-in to the bucket so that if hydraulics fail, you can’t be dumped out.
