Police: Victim in Commerce City shooting ‘expected to survive’

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — A man was shot and transported to the hospital after a shooting in Commerce City Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday in the 7000 block of Highway 2, according to the Commerce City Police Department.

The victim was a male in his 20s.

He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

Police said he is expected to survive his injuries.

As of Tuesday afternoon, authorities said they have no suspects in custody regarding this case.
