Police investigate apparent homicide at Lakewood motel

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A man was apparently shot to death Saturday evening inside a Lakewood motel, the Lakewood Police Department reported.

Shortly after 7 p.m., LPD received reports of shots fired at the Crossland Economy Suites, at 715 Kipling St., police said.

Officers arrived on scene minutes later and found a dead man inside a room. The victim appeared to have been shot.
The victim’s identity was not released pending the notification of relatives and a positive identification by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

Police have interviewed several people, but no suspect has been identified so far.

Lakewood police asked anyone with information to call investigators at 303-987-7111.

      It also says that his identification was not released so they can inform the family first. I know who this kid was and he’s not a MEXICAN MOJADO!!! He’s as white as can be. R.I.P

    “Apparent” homicide? No, people wind up dead by gunshot all the time…Let`s just call it natural causes? Who edits the copy.a first grader?
