Police search for suspect involved in Northglenn park shooting

NORTHGLENN, Colo. — Northglenn police were dispatched to an area hospital Saturday after receiving reports of a gunshot victim.

At about 10 a.m. Saturday, officers were sent to the North Suburban Medical Center where they contacted an adult male gunshot victim, according to the Northglenn Police Department.

The victim has suffered a single gunshot wound that injured both of his legs, police said. The wounds were apparently caused by a single bullet from an unknown handgun.

Police said the shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the EB Rains Park located in the 11700 block of Community Center Drive.

Officers described the suspect as a Hispanic male, about 20-years-old, 5-foot-9, thin build, dark hair and goatee-type facial hair. He wore a dark-blue plaid hooded-style shirt and black pants.

A white female accompanied the suspect, police said.

She was described as about 20-years-old, 5-foot-7, chubby build, long hair to the middle of her back that was died pink or blond with brown highlights and tips. She wore a bright neon pink shirt and light blue jeans.
