Aurora Fire: 1 injured after possible tornado that touched down near country club

AURORA, Colo. — A person was injured Sunday after a trailer turned over during a possible tornado near a country club in Aurora.

According to the Aurora Fire Department, a possible tornado touched down near Blackstone Country Club in Aurora Sunday afternoon.

The storm overturned an empty construction trailer, causing minor damage to a home.

The driver of a golf cart told FOX31 Denver’s Daryl Orr that he was driving the golf cart with a couple of other people in it when winds picked up and flipped the small vehicle.

A male passenger was injured during the incident and taken to a nearby hospital with a broken wrist, said Aurora Emergency Management.

The National Weather Service had already issued Tornado Warnings and Watches for all of Eastern Colorado.
