Computer problems stop Frontier Airlines departures at Denver Airport

Frontier Airlines jet pulls into gate at Denver International Airport

DENVER — Frontier Airlines had a computer problem Thursday night that brought departures from Denver International Airport for a short time.

The outage lasted about 30 minutes and affected flights in Denver only.

“Frontier Airlines experienced computer issues at 7:15 pm. Therefore, departing flights were held at the gate,” says DIA spokeswoman Laura Coale. “A few arrivals needed to wait for gates to become available. Frontier airlines operations are slowly getting back to normal. Some flights are beginning to depart.”

A frustrated passenger sent a message to Frontier about the issue from on board a plane:

    Frontier computer outage effected flights in San Francisco as well. I am supposed to on a Frontier flight to Denver and it is delayed more than 45 min…and still not up on the air
