CENTENNIAL, Colo. — A fuel spill on South Parker Road near the intersection of Orchard road is causing huge backups Wednesday morning.

A tank on a semi truck leaked about 50 gallons of diesel fuel, the South Metro Fire Rescue said. Most of the fuel is on Orchard, west of Parker.

No structures or residents were threatened, and the spill is contained.

Traffic delays continued through the morning commute. Westbound Orchard Road was reopened about 11:15 a.m.

Southbound traffic on Parker Road was backed up to at least Chambers Road.
