1 dead after fight breaks out at Aurora fast food restaurant, police say

AURORA, Colo. — A  fight that erupted at a fast food chain restaurant in Aurora early Wednesday resulted in the death of a 19-year-old man.

At around midnight, officers from the Aurora Police Department responded to the Taco Bell at 3554 S. Tower Rd. on reports of a fight.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound in the parking lot.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.

Investigators said the victim was involved in a brawl that broke out in the parking lot of the restaurant. At some point during the incident, shots were fired and the victim was hit.

Three male suspects were seen leaving the parking lot on foot.

Police described the suspects as three white men in their late teens or early 20s. Two of the individuals wore dark-colored t-shirts and one was possibly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the front. They all wore light-colored shorts.

Detectives from the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene to take over the investigation. They searched the area for witnesses and evidence.
