DENVER — A former Denver police detective resigned, and is now charged with sexually exploiting a child.

Tim Kelley, a 19-year-veteran, quit after an investigation into allegations against him related to child pornography.

The former lab detective and crime scene investigator was arrested late last week when Westminster police conducted a search warrant at his condominium.

The charge against him is a felony.

Kelley is out of jail on bond. His next court appearance is July 11.

Gee, what a surprise! Another lying, cheating, perjuring cop who is circumventing the rights of innocent citizens and breaking the law. I would never have guessed that was possible. Nope. Not our lovable, noble cops. Of course not.
