WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man wanted in an attempted murder case over the sale of medical marijuana through a Craigslist meeting gone bad earlier this month.

The incident on May 9 just before 11 p.m. began at a Circle K store at West 38th Avenue and Kipling Street. There was a car chase west on 38th Avenue to Youngfield Street, north to West 44th Avenue, then east. Near 44th Avenue and Tabor Street, police say the suspect fired several rounds at the victim’s vehicle.

The back window and driver’s door had bullet holes, and the victim was uninjured as he pulled into the TA truck stop as the suspect fled.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crimestoppers at 720-913-7867.

This is awesome. A drug deal gone bad and we as concerned citizens should care. It’s craigslist, 11pm at night at a gas station and you really think all is going to go well. Some of us bust our butts trying to make a dollar to put food on our table and now you post a ridiculous article like this asking for the public’s help. What a joke. I’ve got way more important things to do than to turn in the neighborhood pot dealer or buyer. Let them take each other yet…a few less losers in my community.

AB, do you really think that man wouldn’t rob and shoot you? Because what, you think that people like that only shoot and rob people you don’t like? You need to get your priorities in order because otherwise it might be or your loved ones that get shot if that guy doesn’t have a more convenient target.

I’m from Aurora. If I had to turn in every guy that did a drug deal at the gas station…there’d be nobody left in Atown. My priorities have nothing to do with turning in some loser looking to rob his drug dealer. My point was why consider this news. You want me to help defend someone who got shot at after trying to make a deal. Maybe he should seek a new line of work or not deal at the gas station. You want to call this a medicinal marijuana deal gone bad, sorry Duncan but maybe these 2 should’ve been dealing at a legitimate licensed business rather than the Circle K @11pm. Hopefully, my loved ones are smart enough not to meet strangers from Craigslist either. Wake up.

This happened 20 days ago. I’m glad to be out of Wheatridge. Their motto was “We’re not as bad as Denver”.
