WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Both directions of U.S. 36 will be closed overnight Monday and Tuesday as crews pour concrete as part of the U.S. 36 Express Lanes Project.
The closures will be from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night as concrete is poured for the bridge decks on the newly construction Sheridan Boulevard bridge and the bikeway/utility bridge.
On Monday night, the closure will about one-quarter of a mile on each side of the Sheridan Boulevard bridge. On Tuesday night, the closure will occur between Interlocken Loop and McCaslin Boulevard.
“There are detour routes in place to direct motorists around the construction work on both evenings,” Colorado Department of Transportation Project Director Mark Gosselin. “We are hoping to minimize the impact to the traveling public, while making sure that they remain safe.”
On Monday night, traffic will be detoured at the off-ramps to Sheridan and routed back onto the eastbound and westbound lanes via the on-ramps.
On Tuesday night, there will be separate eastbound and westbound detour routes.
