OMAHA, Neb. --  It’s pretty common during the NFL season to hear Peyton Manning yell out “Omaha” during games.  The Broncos quarterback used it quite a bit last season in his snap count and it brought quite a bit of attention to the city in Nebraska.

Manning was in Omaha Thursday accepting a $68,850 check for his Peyback Foundation, an organization helping at-risk kids.  Seventeen Omaha companies came together to raise money for every time Manning said “Omaha” during the playoffs.

“This truly is above and beyond,” said Manning as he received a check.  “I never thought that a football play call word would turn into a way to raise money for kids that are going through tough times and I can’t tell you how grateful that I am.”
