DENVER — Motorists in downtown Denver will see the streets extra crowded on Wednesday nights as the 10th year of the weekly Denver Bike Night returns beginning tonight.

“Each week in Denver thousands pour onto the streets each Wednesday night May 14th – Sept 24. It’s about bikes. It’s about Fun. It’s about connecting with like-minded people,” the sponsor of the rides, Denver Cruiser Ride, says on its website.

Riders are encouraged to wear costumes to go with each week’s theme. The first week is Reds & Robes.

The cyclists meet at 7 p.m. at five locations in Denver and the rides begin at 8:45 p.m. with an official after party at the Funky Buddha Lounge (776 Lincoln St.). Riding is free.
