dressCHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A girl says she was kicked out of a homeschool prom after some fathers at the dance said her dress evoked “impure thoughts,” WTVR reports.

The 17-year-old was at the Richmond Homeschool Prom’s “Twilight in Paris” dance when the incident occurred. The station says dresses had to be fingertip length.

The girl’s family says the dress met the requirement. But she was told to leave after some fathers who were chaperoning said her dress was too short and her dancing was too provocative.

After the incident, the girl wrote about her experience in a blog.

In part, she wrote some of the fathers had complained “her dancing was too provocative” and that it was going to “cause the young men at the prom to think impure thoughts.”

There has been no comment from the dance organizers.

Teach your boys right from wrong and stop blaming women or girls for boys or men’s problems if they can’t handle girls wearing dresses then don’t go to proms or out in public.

I have another thought,I did not see the video at first.
Id bet the white fathers hated seeing the hot white girl with a brother.
Im extremely honest I have racist tendencies after being raised in Detroit for 54 years.

Its not the girl,it’s the men who are doing the same thing as back in the day.Blame the teenager for their sick twisted thoughts.Every last one who made their comments should be held accountable to make a public apology to her with her mom right beside her. That would be justice. Why would they be chaperoning anyway.? Ok?

Looks like they are unaware of what happens after Prom parties that definitely need a lot of impure thoughts.
Or pure thoughts if you are a teen looking at a hot girl. If you don’t get impure thoughts looking at a hot lady, something wrong with you.

I just want to know – is impure because they’re old, married and are excited to see a young woman dance? Is it not impure if a boy was married to her thinking the same thoughts??

    • Anonymous

no its not impure to be old or married but to get EXCITED (like how you said) when YOUNG WOMEN dance is very strange, if they were WOMEN then thats just disrespectful toward their wives, and its disrespectful for any one who is in a relationship, if thats what you think about daily then you need to be single its not impure.

Sounds like men who have not taught their sons proper respect. Not the girls fault she should not have been kicked out. If seeing a good looking girl in a very nice looking dress makes their boys think impure thoughts they were not taught proper respect for others . Sounds like the fathers were the ones with impure thoughts.

THat is so idiotic to state, yes go ahead and blame the fathers its so easier to do that instead of looking at young women nowadays they are plastering themselves with makeup to look older and then you have cases where the girl runs away from home as a cry for attention and decide to sleep with men twice their age NOW THATS NO SELF RESPECT. The 17 year old boys are going to have that type of mindset just like how your husband/boyfriend probably was when they were younger you cant blame them for trying to have fun, you have to make mistakes to learn from it.

Ridiculous how these girls always get a pass and the dads are blamed. I have a daughter and if she was dressed that way and dancing in an inappropriate way, I’d expect the same for her. Have some self-respect.

Exactly but i would feel more comfortable for a female staff member to confront my daughter rather having a grown man basically assess my daughters attire, looking at her body for any length of time is unacceptable.

First of all the parents shouldnt even be chaperones that’s the job of the school staff to make sure the teens were being watched on property, moms and dads dont sit in class with their kids and say that the teacher is teaching something i dont agree on and this being a high school isnt there a police officer on campus especially at prom/?? They need to be more worried about the crazy white kid who wasnt invited and has to act out by being stupid and violently hurting someone because no one likes him. Plus these students are at that age where they are going to experiment way more then just thinking it and there is no stopping them. The fathers should have only worried about their own daugthers and if some teenage boy was physically touching the girl inappropriately.

Blame the school staff seriously!! why are they making the fathers do the dirty work, your part of the school staff you need to step up and say hey this appearence/behavior is not tolerated during at any time while on school grounds the fathers arent getting paid for this.

um if it homeschool then they shouldnt even have a prom, you obviously homeschooled your child for one of the reason of not having them around other kids then you decide have a prom and allow other teens to go to your house and hang out? and party? makes no sense

      • Susan

Um, you obviously don’t totally understand homeschooling. A huge misconception is not all homeschoolers keep their kids totally isolated. Educate yourselves, please.

And yeah, the dads sound like creepy zealots.

So the Dads were getting woodies over this teen chick, and they boot her out because they were getting hot and bothered, and didn’t want people seeing the wet spots on their pant’s fronts.

    Only in America.
