MORRISON, Colo. — Four people were injured in a four-vehicle accident involving a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy Sunday evening.

U.S. 285 northbound was closed about 8 p.m. near Doubleheader Ranch Road.  The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported that the deputy’s vehicle was rear-ended.

Four patients were hospitalized with non- life threatening injuries, the Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District said.

The accident occurred in the same area as a six-car crash that killed a JeffCo school bus driver in March.

At that location I slow to a CRAWL.
Am ready to steer toward the shoulder where deeper snow will slow myehicle when the tires on the slick pavement actually allow the vehicle to gain speed, sliding!
