COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — A 15-year-old boy was injured Tuesday after the large tractor mower he was using to cut grass flipped into a ditch.

The incident occurred at the corner of 104th Street and Revere Court in Commerce City at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to Steve Davis, who was on scene of the accident.

Davis spoke to a worker on scene, who told him the male victim and one other party were using the large tractor mowers to mow the grass. Then, the 15-year-old got too close to a culvert and flipped the machine into a ditch.

The boy and the tractor descended about ten feet into the ditch, where the boy was then trapped, added the worker.

The Commerce City Police Department and South Adams County Fire Department responded to the scene and rescued the boy, who was taken away in an ambulance.

Davis told FOX31 Denver that the boy and the individual on the second mower wore vests that displayed the company name Schultz Industries, Inc.
