A young boy fighting his own battle has raised $15,000 for charity. Now he's trying to get a big-time celebrity to help him out.

Mario Carpino is a 10-year-old who beat cancer, but he still has inoperable brain tumors. To keep his spirits up and to help other kids, he got involved with a national foundation called "Alex's Lemonade Stand."

Since 2011, he has raised $130,000. Now with the help of social media, he's trying to get his favorite musician, Jon Bon Jovi, to play at his next fundraiser in June.

Mario's mother says he's an "old soul."
