DENVER --Members of the Republican National Committee will be in Denver on Wednesday as part of the bid process for the party's 2016 national convention.

Denver is one of six finalists to be the coveted host. The other finalists are Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Las Vegas and Kansas City, Mo. Denver successfully hosted the Democratic National Convention in 2008.

Officials would use the Pepsi Center as the main site of the four-day convention, with Coors Field and the Colorado Convention Center also being utilized.

The host city is expected to be announced this summer.
