Trash truck’s load catches fire in Aurora

AURORA, Colo. — A pile of trash caught fire in Aurora Friday afternoon.

The rubbish was being transported along E. 6th Avenue and N. Airport Boulevard when it caught fire.

Firefighters shut down the intersection while they put out the fire.

According to the Aurora Police Department Facebook page, the trash truck had to dump it’s load on the side of the road so firefighters could extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Traffic in the area was slow Friday afternoon and police urged caution.
