LONGMONT, Colo. — A 17-year-old was in serious condition Sunday after being stabbed by his younger brother, the Longmont Police Department said.

The stabbing occurred about 7:20 p.m during an argument at Faith Baptist Church on 15th Avenue, police said. The victim apparently argued with his 15-year-old brother, who eventually stabbed him multiple times, LPD said.

Police were still searching for the younger boy Sunday night. The boys’ mother was present at the time, LPD said.

The older teen was badly hurt but expected to recover, police said.
