HOUSTON — An apartment complex under construction caught fire Tuesday near downtown Houston and collapsed.

Dramatic video caught a worker trapped on a floor as flames engulfed the building. He jumped down one floor then onto a fire truck ladder just before the building started collapsing.

It started as a rooftop fire but quickly spread because of gusty winds. More than 200 personnel fought the fire.

The cause is still under investigation.
