Hunt on for 17-year-old suspect in Springs triple shooting

COLORADO SPRING, Colo. — Police in Colorado Springs are looking for a 17-year-old wanted in connection with a triple-shooting this week.

Miguel Alvarado-Menchaca was named by police as a suspect in the case. He’s wanted for three counts of first-degree attempted murder.

KRDO-TV reported he should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.

The shooting happened Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m. on University Drive near the Valley Hi Golf Course.

Police said three people were shot. Names of the victims have not been released, but police said all three are expected to survive.
