IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Colorado Department of Transportation closed I-70 at the Twin Tunnels for a short time Tuesday so it could perform rock stabilization.

Crews in the westbound tunnel found a potentially hazardous rock while doing survey work Tuesday.

CDOT took care of the precarious rock and reopened the highway around 2 p.m.
