AURORA, Colo. — Three people were badly injured Sunday when a car crashed into a tree near East Colfax Avenue and North Sable Boulevard in Aurora, the Aurora Police Department said.

APD first got the call about 12:14 p.m., officers said. It appeared that a car had taken a turn too fast and struck a tree.

Three people were extricated from the wreck and hospitalized in serious condition, APD reported. All were expected to survive. None of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts, police said.

Alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash, APD said.

Gotta watch out for dem trees not in crosswalks.
Guess who pays the medical co$t$ for those who do not wear their comfortable, easily-worn seat-belts?
