SAN JOSE, Calif. — A touching scene is going viral this morning out of California.

Multiple runners stopped to shake the hand of World War II veteran Joe Bell mid race in San Jose, all thanking him for his service. Bell is 95 years old and was in full uniform to cheer on the runners.

The 8K race, dubbed the 408K after one of San Jose’s area codes, benefited the foundation for fallen Army Ranger and former NFL player Pat Tillman, who is a San Jose native.
