Downtown portion of RTD light rail reopens after closure for repairs

DENVER — A portion of the light rail system that runs through the downtown area was closed for several hours Friday for repair work.

The closure started at 9:30 a.m. and lasted until roughly 3 p.m. RTD said all rail service running from the 10th and Osage Station to the 30th and Downing Station wpuld be back to normal operation by 3:30 p.m.

During the closures, RTD said bus shuttles provided service to riders through the affected downtown areas.
