Police identify suspect who allegedly stabbed victim over 10 times

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — A man that was stabbed over ten times in Englewood remained in critical condition at a nearby hospital as of Wednesday afternoon.

The Englewood Police Department said officers responded to the 3100 block on S. Pennsylvania Street Monday after they received a report regarding a man who had been stabbed multiple times.

Police said they found a 49-year-old man who had been stabbed over ten times when they arrived at the scene.

The victim was transported to the Swedish Medical Center, where he was rushed into surgery, said police. He remained at the hospital in critical condition from his injuries.

John Walker, 63, was taken into custody in connection with the case, said Englewood Police Department spokesperson Brain Couisineau.

Walker was later transferred to the Arapahoe County Detention Facility.
