ROCHESTER, Minn. — A bait shop owner in Rochester, Minn. believes an unlikely alarm saved the day when someone apparently tried to burglarize his business.
One of the old, goofy “Big Mouth Billy Bass” singing plaques foiled the crime.
Tom Allen has the thing near the door of his Hooked on Fishing bait shop to announce whenever a customer comes into the store.
The bass starts singing when its motion detector activates.
When he came to work Monday morning, he found the door had been kicked in.
But not a thing was stolen.
Tom believes the silly singing bass went off just like it was supposed to, and scared off the burglar.
A bad guy run off by a lip-synching plastic fish sitting next to the door.
