Snow, bitter cold weather forecast for entire week

DENVER -- Snow returns to the forecast for metro Denver beginning Monday. And snow is expected each day this week up to and including Sunday.

On top of that, some of the coldest weather of the season is forecast this week as well.

Monday's high might reach 30 degrees and then it's downhill from there. Light snow will return to metro Denver Late Monday night. "Once the snow arrives, it's not going any place for seven straight days," says Chief Meteorologist Dave Fraser.

The high Tuesday will only be in the teens and the snow could pile up into the 3-6" range by Wednesday morning.

Lows will drop to sub-zero readings Tuesday and Wednesday. The cold and snow continues into the weekend.

Light snow is expected to keep falling Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Some improvement in temperature will happen Saturday and Sunday as highs get into the mid to upper 20s.
