Police said they found the 25-year-old woman unconscious inside the bedroom of her home in the 8500 Link Road block.

She was transported to the hospital via the Fountain Fire Rescue, where she died from her injuries, said police.

Detectives reported that the initial investigation indicates her death was the result of an accidental shot from a gun.

The only other person in the house at the time of the shooting was the victim’s young child, they added.

As of Friday afternoon, police were withholding the name of the victim until they could notify the women’s family, and said they are continuing to investigation the incident.
