Longmont police looking for man wanted in sex assault case

LONGMONT, Colo. — Police in Longmont are looking for a man in connection with a sexual assault of a child.

David Johnson is also wanted in connection with two misdemeanor chargers, said Cmdr. Jeffrey Satur of the Longmont Police Department.

Satur said detectives believe Johnson is in the Denver area.

The sexual assault report accusing him was filed Dec. 31. Johnson fled Longmont shortly thereafter, Satur said.

Johnson knows the victim, Satur said.
