MIAMI, Fla. — Dozens of passengers became sick onboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship on a four-night Caribbean cruise.

About 66 people on the Majesty of the Seas reported stomach symptoms similar to the norovirus. Two of them are crew members.

The ship returned to port on Friday, reported the Miami Herald.

A Royal Caribbean spokesman says the illness was short lived and those affected improved after taking over-the-counter medication, which was available onboard.

The first passengers started getting sick earlier this week. During a stop in Key West, workers did extra cleaning to keep the illness from spreading.

When the ship docked in Miami, cleaners performed “an extensive and thorough sanitizing,” a company spokesperson said.

The ship was carrying 2,581 passengers along with 844 crew members on a four-night cruise with stops in the Bahamas and Key West.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Vessel Sanitation Program posted updates about nine outbreaks of gastrointestinal illness on cruise ships last year. The agency posts the information when 3 percent or more of passengers or crew report symptoms to a ship’s medical crew during a sailing.

This wouldn’t happen if people learned better hygiene and WASHED their hands when they used the restroom. Just saying.

Let me tell you about my cruise nightmare!
My husband had a adverse reaction to the motion sickness patch and made a sarcastic comment, he said he was sick and needed to go home when told to go to guest services he said “o good I don’t have to swim home”
Them my family was escorted off the boat and left in Nassau Bahamas.
Because he was a liability, but we kept being told my daughters and I are more than welcome to stay on the boat!
