CENTENNIAL, Colo. -- An Arapahoe High School senior is overwhelmed with support from Colorado and around the country after posting his experience from last Friday's shooting on his personal blog.

Matt Bowers, an aspiring graphic designer, posted the details of the shooting at Arapahoe High School late Friday night in an effort to begin processing the terrible and traumatic set of events that happened earlier in the day.

"I titled it, 'It's the day of high school I'll never forget,'" said Bowers outside Arapahoe High School on Monday.

Classes are cancelled through the rest of the year but the senior said he has remained in constant contact with classmates since the shooting.

Bowers told FOX31 Denver he knew of the shooter through mutual friends but had no direct contact with the student before the shooting.

"We knew what it was but we really couldn't believe that it was here and it was in our school," said Bowers when describing the moments after the gunshots first broke out inside a school hallway.

After crowding around a wall with several other students, Bowers scribbled a note on his hand to his parents because he feared his body would be recovered by police after the attack.

Bowers said he's eager to return to Arapahoe in 2014 once his school reopens but that he doesn't expect his school to ever be quite the same.

My prayers are with Clare and her family and all the students and families of Arapahoe High School. Thank you, KDVR for sharing Matt Bowers blog with us.

Why aren’t authorities cavity searching all students at every entrance and exit? Who knows what they are carrying in and out that’s making them so crazed?? And BTW, what were the political beliefs of the ‘judges’ that gave this gunchild a poor score, and defeated his self-confidence? Furthermore; why do these shootings happen in white suburbia Colorado? Seems like a pattern, as if the cell phone towers are frying their brains with evil thoughts? Random is one thing, but excessive pattern is proof! End the frequencies! Save the children from these radioactive microwaves!

This is a very sad story. But why would you give up so easy. Writing a goodbye note on your hand??? Never give up that easy. You should do what ever it takes to survive by taking action. Actions speak louder than words. You MUST be more determined than the enemy trying to kill you. Hope for a speedy recovery for Claire and her family.

  • Cradle to Grave

Dustin, if you are implying young people should react to murder with murder, its like you are saying ‘two wrongs make a right’. Please take a long look in the mirror and give yourself a thorough self-check. If you feel you are in crisis; is there someone you can call to talk about why you are feeling that you can answer deadly violence with even more violence?

  • Mind Blown

Cradle what would you have people do? lay down and take it? maybe you are the one who needs to talk to somebody about being flat out delusional, if someone is trying to kill you, you should fight back, you should do whatever it takes to survive, are you seriously advocating doing nothing? just being sheep for the slaughter? what’s the matter with you?

Dustin, First of all, he is a kid so your judgment is kind of harsh. Second, all people react to crises in different ways, and judging a person for their response doesn’t make you a better person. So, you would have done it differently, SO WHAT! It WASN’T you. Third, no one knows what he may have done if he had the opportunity to stop the gunman. His genuine concern for his family before thinking of himself shows his character. I would have written the message on my hand too.

And it produces a higher harvest with the foods involved.
In fact, everyone will quickly realize this activity enjoyable and rewarding.

The system is only going to require the addition of almost no water each week.

If you know of any please share. Appreciate it!
