One dead in western Colorado plane crash

CEDAREDGE, Colo. — A small plane crashed on private property in Delta County Tuesday night. Authorities told KREX-TV that one person was killed.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office says dispatch started getting 911 calls from witnesses at 6:11 p.m.

The single engine Cessna went down north of the town of Cedaredge.

Witnesses reported a big explosion and fire ball when the plane crashed.

KREX reports the plane was flying from California to Aspen.
